BE THE BEST IN EVERYTHING

Ø  If you want to get to the top, you must be the best.

Ø  As God’s people, excellence is our heritage.

Ø  Whenever you see a child of God living a mediocre life (a mediocre wife, employee, whatever), that person is misrepresenting God.

Ø  To bring honour and glory to God, you must be the best.

Ø  To give Him pleasure, you must be the best.

Ø  To see the favour of God in your life, you must be the best.

Ø  Joseph was the best. Esther was the best. Daniel was better than anyone in his field. David too was the best.

Ø  They all enjoyed the favour of God in their lives.

Ø  In order to see the favour of God in everything you do in life, you must be the best.

Ø  May I ask you a question please?

Ø  If your father was the physics teacher in your school, and you were asked to write Newton’s Laws of Motion but you wrote Gauss’ law instead, would it be morally justifiable for your father to give you the first position in that examination?

Ø  Of course, no. Why? It is because you failed the examination.

Ø  Until you supply the facts, they will not supply you the marks.

Ø  Many of us are asking God to do what is unjust.

Ø  Here you are, a mediocre who refuses to give your best in what you do, and

Ø  you want to force God to place you above better people.

Ø  God is too righteous to do injustice.

Ø  Therefore hearken unto me, ye men of understanding: far be it from God, that he should do wickedness; and from the Almighty, that he should commit iniquity. For the work of a man shall he render unto him, and cause every man to find according to his ways. Yea, surely God will not do wickedly, neither will the Almighty pervert judgment (Job 34:10-12).

Ø  Beloved, if you want God to favour you, please make it easy for Him by producing excellence in whatever you do, and your story will change.

PROMPT OBEDIENCE

IF YOU DON'T WANT TO CHANGE, GOD WILL RAISE AND USE OTHERS FROM UNLIKELY SOURCES.

When you are in front, you have a great responsibility to stay there.
Don't allow others to overtake you. Keep pressing on.

If you have people that rebuke you in your life, appreciate God because they are helping you to grow in the ways of the Lord.

WISDOM IS KNOWING WHAT TO DO AND DOING IT, according to the scriptures.*

No matter what you're facing, your face will be beaming with joy. Because you know that whatever you are facing, you WENT DEEP.

Jesus was a carpenter, not a fisherman, BUT he was telling Peter what to do, to cast his nets into the water... Peter did so, not out of his expertise but because Jesus said so (Luke 5:1-5)

ACCURATE and DEEP knowledge of the Word of God, is what is found in the DEEP.


2 Peter 1:2-4
Knowledge is not being able to read the scripture, it's UNDERSTANDING and APPLYING what you read.
You're not deep if you fail to give to God  in the church and expect change.
Look for the promise concerning your circumstances and apply.

GOING DEEPER IS UNDERSTANDING GOD'S PURPOSE AND WILL FOR YOU
You must go deeper and find it. NOT looking for prophets to tell you what to do.
Abraham is called  a prophet in the Bible, David was also a prophet. It's not about someone telling you your address or phone number that constitutes prophecy. Prophecy has to do with your future. And you'll be moving from prophet to prophet searching for answers but you'll only be frustrated. The answer is in GOING DEEPER in the word of God.

There are precious promises in the Word of God which we need to GO DEEPER AND COLLECT.

1. You need to understand as a Christian WHO you are in Christ
John 1:19-23
Your identity is so important. If you don't know who you are, you'll be beaten by satan.

Matthew 16:7
What does it mean for you to say, I'm in Christ, I'm a new person, I've been saved. Saved from what?_
People may give you a name according to the circumstances around you. *YOUR IDENTITY IS IN THE BOOK, THE BIBLE, SO GO DEEPER.

1 Corinthians 5:17,Revelation 5:9-10,Hebrews 2:11,Philippians 2:5

Jesus, your brother, is a lion, therefore, YOU ARE A LION. You cannot be  a cow!_
Jesus is our perfect example, our Elder brother, the first born, WE MUST EMULATE HIM
